- Abstract
The article provides an overview of the international best practices in relation to secured transactions laws, focusing on Vietnam's Civil Code, the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL), and a proposal to transplant Vietnam's laws which deal with secured transactions, commercial activities, and financing. The laws in emerging economy countries are mentioned, including information on remedies and laws which govern issues such as property collateral and perfection.
