- Abstract
In this article the author considers aspects of the housing of immigrants in the growing cities of Kelowna, Vernon, and Penticton, located in the central Okanagan Valley in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The author notes that immigrants need affordable and suitable housing if they are to be successfully assimilated into Canadian society. A number of topics are addressed including discrimination against immigrants in the region, issues of social justice, and the housing shortage in the area.
