- Authors
Bale, Martin T.; Min-Jung Ko
- Abstract
The article examines the development of craft production in the Mumun Pottery Period of south-central Korea. It was found that specialized craft production seems to have originated as a supplement to intensive agriculture in the Early Middle Mumum period. In the period of Late Middle Mumum, full-time leaders are using the production of greenstone ornaments and groundstone daggers as a network strategy to gain power for themselves.
