- Abstract
The article discusses developments and issues in the voluntary sector in Great Britain as of May 2015, particularly the effects of government policies in its operations. It claims that voluntary groups differ in such areas as orientation, geography, and ways of working. Also cited are the move by volunteer groups to adopt contracted out services, their privatisation, and the efforts by the National Coalition for Independent Action (NCIA) to oppose such changes to volunteerism.
