- Title
Atomic sensors: Chip-scale magnetometers.
- Authors
Romalis, Michael V.
- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of chip-scale atomic magnetometer. The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has developed the instrument by combining tunable single-frequency laser diodes and fabrication of millimeter-scale atomic sensors to reduce the negative effects of atomic collisions. The diverse array of sensors are very useful for the geology and mineral exploration and military and medical applications.
