- Abstract
The article discusses the importance of protecting former employees against retaliation in the effective implementation of the False Claims Act (FCA), which aims to protect the U.S. government against fraudulent activities. Other topics include the government losses due to fraud in government contracts and federal health care programs like Medicaid and Medicare, and the key role played by whistleblowers in fighting fraud under FCA.
