- Abstract
The article focuses on the metabolic makeup of a tumor pathways involved in metabolic signaling which act as tumor suppressors. Metabolic enzyme acts as a tumor suppressors but mutations can also affect oncogenic capacity to metabolic enzymes, such as isocitrate dehydrogenase 1 (IDH1). Therapies which target oncogenic metabolism target the metabolic state of the organism or target the altered metabolism of the tumor itself.
