- Abstract
The Deutsche Telekom Foundation and the German Library Association (dbv) have extended their cooperation in awarding the "Library of the Year" and "Library of the Year in Small Municipalities and Regions" awards until 2025. The "Library of the Year" award has been jointly awarded by the dbv and the Deutsche Telekom Foundation since 2017 to honor exemplary and innovative library concepts in the digital world. Since 2020, the "Library of the Year in Small Municipalities and Regions" award has also been presented. The German Library Association represents over 9,000 libraries nationwide with 25,000 employees and 11 million users, and advocates for the strengthening of libraries. The Deutsche Telekom Foundation was established in 2003 to strengthen the educational, research, and technology location in Germany and supports projects for children and young people in the fields of mathematics, natural sciences, and technology.
