- Abstract
The article discusses the role of religious belief in motivating corporations and individuals officers and directors within those corporations, and it mentions corporate and fiduciary duties, the concept of corporate purpose, and the external regulation of corporations. Pluralism is addressed, along with the views of theologians and the contractarian and communitarian schools of thought. Religious views about human nature and collective action are assessed.
