The article presents a tribute to Washington and Lee University School of Law Professor Margaret Howard, and it mentions the author's personal relationship with Howard, as well as information about Howard's work as a bankruptcy law professor. The American Bankruptcy Institute's chapter 11 bankruptcy research is examined, along with Howard's keynote address entitled "The Law of Unintended Consequences" which examines the 2005 amendments to the U.S. Bankruptcy Code.
