- Authors
Urbanoski, Karen A.
- Abstract
The author offers observation on the findings from the Cedar Project, a study of Indigenous youth in British Columbia, which showed evidence of elevated mortality rates among Indigenous youth who use drugs. Topics discussed include health inequalities experienced by Indigenous people, diseases which are higher among Indigenous people who use drugs compared to non-Indigenous people who use drugs, and implications of how Indigenous identity is defined and measured in research for study findings.
