- Abstract
The article reports that the Clinical pathways linking antibiotics to follow-up care can reduce hospital admissions. Topics discussed include Soft tissue skin infections (SSSIs) are a common reason for emergency department (ED) visits and a frequent reason for admission despite low inpatient mortality of 0.5%; and these decisions are often based on several factors beyond comorbidities including patient access to medications, outpatient treatment failure.
