The article focuses on controversial aspects of an institutional review board's (IRB's) work is reviewing the language in clinical trial consent forms regarding reproductive risks to study participants and their potential offspring. It mentions requirement to avoid pregnancy should be communicated in consent documents. It also mentions expresses a condescending paternalism toward women and multiple methods of efficacy of contraception.
