A literary criticism of the book "The Calculus of Consent: Logical Foundations of Constitutional Democracy" by James Buchanan and Gordon Tullock is presented. It examines the four areas of significance stated in the book which are constitutionalism, generality, robust political economy, and Paretian constructivism. It looks into political ideology in relation to means-end analysis in social science.
