- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 40-year-old carpenter who visited a tertiary care center with a swelling over his abdomen and diagnosed with human subcutaneous dirofilariasis or nodule. Topics discussed include dermatological examination of the patient that revealed a inflamed erythematous plaque, excision and dissection of the subcutaneous tissue and his histopathological examination that showed a multi-layered cuticle and sections of longitudinal ridges of Dirofilaria repens.
