- Abstract
The article presents an overview of the study "Muscular strength and mental health," by L. A. Tucker. The study examines the relation between muscular strength and selected psychological traits of male undergraduate students and assesses global self-concept, body cathexis, extraversion, and neurotic tendencies. It concludes that relatively strong participants were more satisfied with their bodies, less emotionally labile and anxious, sociable, and impulsive.
