The article describes the case of an unusual pattern of megacapillaries, called the boxer's shape, in three patients with systemic sclerosis (SSc) revealed by nailfold capillaroscopy (NFC). Topics discussed include characterization of SSc and NFC, and the importance of standardizing definitions of capillaroscopic abnormalities.
