Bohme, among the most valuable were the surveys of reactivity throughout the periodic table as studied using selected ion flow tube (SIFT) mass spectrometry. Early studies included those involving Al SP + sp (Clemmer et al., 1992), V SP + sp (Sievers & Armentrout, 1995), Cu SP + sp (Rodgers et al., 1999), Y SP + sp (Sievers & Armentrout, 1999b), Zr SP + sp (Sievers & Armentrout, 1999a), Nb SP + sp (Sievers & Armentrout, 1998a), and Mo SP + sp (Sievers & Armentrout, 1998b). This study includes the 3d (Elkind & Armentrout, 1985, 1986a, 1986b, 1986d, 1987a, 1987b, 1988; Elkind et al., 1989; Georgiadis & Armentrout, 1988) and 4d (Chen et al., 1995; Elkind et al., 1989; Sievers et al., 1996b) TM SP + sp as well as many main group elemental cations (Burley et al., 1987; Elkind & Armentrout, 1984; Ervin & Armentrout, 1985, 1986a, 1986b, 1987, 1989; Stowe et al., 1990; Sunderlin & Armentrout, 1994).
