- Abstract
The article presents the techniques and creativity of designers in the props and costume design of several theatrical productions including "Man of La Mancha," "Side Show," and "The Wiz." It mentions that the props designer of La Mancha proposed the horse and donkey custom heads while the "Side Show," use electric wheelchairs in place of conventional stage machinery fro moving propos and set pieces. It also notes that the props for "The Wiz'" poses difficulty and technical effect challenges to designers Mallory Kay Nelson and Todd Debreceni in which adaptations required wicked witch costume melting, the Tin Woman costume, and the Cowardly Lion's prosthetic eyes.
