- Abstract
The article presents the Latin notes and Middle English stanza describing the reign of Richard II in John Lydgate's poem "Kings of England." The Latin text of the poem is part of a "Tabula cronicarum Regum Anglie facta & compilata videlicet a primis anno Willelmi Conquestoris vsque ad annum x Regis Henrici Sexti" that survives in a single manuscript, MS 209, at St. John's College in England. It provides a comparison between the two texts that comes in their respective accounts of the reign of Edward II.
