- Abstract
A literary criticism of the book "Egils saga" is presented. Believed to have been authored by Snorri Sturluson in Iceland in the first half of the thirteenth century, "Egils saga" is one of the longest sagas encompassing the long life of Egill Skalla-Grímsson, a chieftain, warrior, and poet. The article mostly concerns with chapter 40 of the book, which takes place during Egill's childhood at Borg.
