- Title
Historia y ciencias sociales: una visión personal.
- Authors
Burke, Peter
- Abstract
A century ago, many historians considered - together with colleagues in the fields of Economics, Politics, Sociology and Anthropology - their studies to be "scientific". They applied the methods of the natural sciences and believed that their conclusions were objective. Today, this vision has been largely abandoned. However, the learning that historians, sociologists and anthropologists can obtain from each other is enriching for the Humanities. The examination of field experiences and openness to critical analysis of the diversity of sources of other specialists, in addition to testing the questions and methods that arise from the work of the disciplines of each of these scholars, they would be some elements to consider in efforts to address human life as a whole.
