- Abstract
Introduction: the INMEDSUR Student Scientific Journal is projected as the means of visualization of the scientific results of the students of the province of Cienfuegos. The need arises to carry out periodic analysis on the development of its editorial management. Objective: to describe the scientific production of the INMEDSUR Student Scientific Magazine. Method: a bibliometric study was carried out. Universe made up of 95 items; 25 belonging to the sample. Variables analyzed: year of publication, number and origin of the author, topic and type of article, bibliographical references, number of citations per year, most cited articles and authors with the highest number of articles published in the journal. Descriptive statistics and bibliometric indicators were used. Results: the year 2021 stood out with 15 published articles (60 %). Research with three authors stood out with a total of 9 works for 36 %. Articles with themes related to the history of health stood out. Original articles predominated with 13 investigations for 52 %. The years 2021 and 2022 stood out with the highest number of citations of the journal, the last year (2022) being the one with the highest impact factor. Conclusions: the INMEDSUR Student Scientific Magazine is the main means of dissemination for students of medical sciences in Cienfuegos. With the implementation of new forms of management, it guarantees greater growth and quality of research. Therefore, work should be directed towards obtaining new sources of scientific works in order to diversify publications.
