- Abstract
The article presents legal developments in marketing relating to the regulation of monopolistic methods. Regarding market control, the case of The Stanley Works v. Newell Co. is discussed, involving a order barring a contested acquisition and charging the acquiring firm reimbursement fees for investigative and litigation costs. Regarding market exclusion tactics, the United States Supreme Court case of Spectrum Sports v. McQuillian is discussed, and the requirements needed to prosecute Sherman Act violations.
