- Abstract
The study was to optimize the extraction conditions and antioxidant activity of total flavonoids from Magnolia biondii Pamp. by ultrasonic-assisted two-phase aqueous method. Single factor and response surface design were used to optimize the optimal extraction conditions, and DPPH free radical scavenging rate was used to evaluate the antioxidant activity of total flavonoids of Magnolia biondii Pamp. The results showed that the optimal extraction conditions were PEG1000 mass fraction 40%, ammonium sulfate mass fraction 30%, liquid to soild ratio 40 mL/g and extraction time 30 min. Under the condition, the mathematical model was verified by experiment, and the verification result showed that the predicted value was 6.78%, the actual value was 6.81%, and the prediction error was 0.79%. The DPPH free radical scavenging rate of total flavonoids of Magnolia biondii Pamp. was 77.36%, which had good antioxidant activity. The study indicates that the ultrasonic-assisted two-water phase method is simple and suitable for the extraction of flavonoids from Magnolia biondii Pamp.
