- Abstract
Emotional intelligence is a concept of recent creation that refers to the way we perceive our own and others' emotions within different environments; different authors have contributed with their research to the development of this phenomenon, such is the case of the American psychologist Daniel Goleman who in 1995 introduced a definition of the concept, followed by other celebrities of the research. Within this writing a link is made with the leadership and its styles, which are considered important and with a different level of emotional intelligence, although a quantitative way of measuring the emotional intelligence level has not yet been established, this work is based on in the personality traits of each leadership style as a proposal for the creation of a profile of an emotionally intelligent leader.
