- Abstract
The article reports on the effort of students to promote the importance of science and technology to the U.S. economy, during the Eleventh Annual Science Engineering-Technology Congressional Visits Day in Washington, D.C. in March 2006. Science and technology professionals also participated in the effort. Some arguments presented by the students and professionals in their effort are stated. In addition, they offer a number of recommendations for dealing with the issue.
