LA LONGUE MARCHE DES CARRÉS ROUGES.
- Authors
FORTIN, Andrée
- Abstract
Three books written right in the spring and summer of 2012 provide the opportunity and means to examine how the Quebec Spring portrayed itself in pictures and words. Witness accounts in the form of texts and images provide a point of entry into the uprising, allowing to understand the movement in its comprehensiveness and complexity. Many of these accounts are also expressed poems and creative drawings, giving insight into the imaginary behind the movement. The text highlights the main individual and collective subjects of the Quebec Spring, and of its target. It also describes the transition from I to we, in other words, from individual subjects to a collective subject, allowing to identify the memory as well as the vision triggered by this movement.
