- Abstract
The article discusses school bus drivers in the U.S. and the issue of drunk driving while operating a school bus as of January 2012, focusing on the zero tolerance policies towards drunk driving by school bus drivers in the U.S., as well as employment testing rules and the U.S. federal laws regarding commercial driver's licenses (CDLs). The U.S. Commercial Motor Vehicle Safety Act of 1986 is also examined, along with the U.S. Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act of 1991 which implemented a first-ever alcohol and drug-testing program.
