- Abstract
The article presents a study which evaluates an aerosol model for Streptococcus suis infection in conventional pigs. The researchers used a healthy female Landrace-Yorkshire crossbred pigs with no history of disease compatible with S. suis. It was found out that infection with S. suis serotype 2 was established in unanaesthetized conventional pigs by experimental aerosolic exposure.
