- Abstract
Vitamin D1 derivatives have been marketed for the treatment of psoriasis and other disorders of keratinization. A 78-year-old-woman, who had psoriasis for 1 year. developed itchy erythema in July 1994. Her psoriasis had been well-controlled with tacalcitol ointment and topical corticosteroid for the previous 5 months. On examination, edematous scaly erythema extended over initially psoriatic lesions on her face, arms and legs. The patient showed a positive reaction to tacalcitol ointment as is, but was negative to its recipients liquid paraffin and di-isopropyl adipate.
