- Abstract
This article presents an assessment of continuing sensitivity to methylchloroisothiazolinone/methylisothiazolinone (MCI/MI). Loss of hypersensitivity to some allergens sometimes occurs. MCI/MI has two components, one is MCI and the other is MI. MCI is a stronger sensitizer than the other. It seemed interesting to study it in this connection, because of its recent spate of sensitization, followed by reduction of its level in cosmetics. Patients who had a positive patch test to MCI/MI in 1989 were included in the study and had this test repeated.
