- Title
CONFESSION, CONFESSIONALIZATION, AND THE TEMPORALITIES OF MEDIEVAL RELIGIOUS STUDIES.
- Authors
Coletti, Theresa
- Abstract
The article presents the author's view in response to essays published in the 2011 issue of "Religion & Literature" 42.1 2. She argues that the volume's determined encounter with medieval religious studies and specially medievalist professions of faith in the academy underscores how a focus on religion belief. She proposes that being raised in various Protestant traditions which embrace deep familiarity with reading the Bible would offer a good preparation for the medievalist's vocation.
