- Abstract
The article presents information on a study that identified the factors influencing the intention to use condoms among automobile mechanic students. A study was conducted on 69 auto mechanic students. There are three variables which are held accountable for the understanding of intention to use condoms for each instance of sexual intercourse with each new partner in a group of automobile mechanic students who are male. These factors are attitude towards the use of condoms, perceived social norms regarding the use of condoms and perceived barriers to the use of condoms. Moreover, it seems useless to insist on the fact that not using condoms will place the subject at risk of contracting sexually transmitted diseases and prevent the partner's pregnancy.
