- Abstract
The size and gestational age at the time of diagnosis are the major determinants of perinatal outcome and are associated with an increased chance of spontaneous resolution in our population. We found a statistically significant relationship between maximum diameter of the cyst and gestational age and a spontaneous intrauterine resolution (table 1). 10 infants had persistent cysts after birth. Ovarian cysts are the most frequent prenatally diagnosed intra-abdominal cysts in female fetuses.
