Reading habits of online journalism growing rapidly in recent years and traditional journalism were compared in this study by addressing to questions of "Does online journalism will take over the leadership of traditional journalism? What kind of Journalism do young generations prefer?" Sample constituted 240 students at Akdeniz University. Students' newspaper reading habits were analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results revealed that university students often considered online journalism and traditional journalism individually and they didn't prefer one to the other. They believed that online journalism cannot replace traditional journalism, no matter how much it develops. Those who preferred online journalism indicated that being more visual, up-dated and freedom were the key factors to prefer. Significant relationship was found between families' income level and traditional newspaper reading rate, but families' income was not correlated with online newspaper reading rate.
