- Abstract
Two patients had positive anti-HCV antibodies on ARCHITECT SP ® sp system: one was had a low positive HCV serology on ARCHITECT SP ® sp system, but a negative HCV serology on cobas SP ® sp system. HBV and HCV serologies must be performed with a biotin-free immunoassay or, if unavailable, with some technique correcting biotin use.[5] Moreover, if a lab test result does not match with the past history of MS patient, biotin interference must be considered as a possible source of error.
