- Abstract
The article presents the declaration made at the 58th annual meeting of the International Whaling Commission (IWC) in St. Kitts and Nevis, from June 16-20, 2006 . The declaration concerns regulation of worldwide commercial whaling by adopting a number of conservation and management measures to restore the dwindling populations of whales. The IWC reiterated its commitment to work under the terms of the International Convention for the Regulation of Whaling for sustainable use and management of marine resources.
