- Abstract
We present a repertoire of graffiti on pottery. They were found in a recent archaeological excavation in the capital of Lusitania, Augusta Emerita (Mérida, Spain). This set is over one hundred pieces. They are useful to know more about the anthroponomy of Merida. This exemplars come from a very specific archaeological context, a common grave (puticuli), located in the northeast of the present Mérida city. In this paper we try to claim that the epigraphic valuation must be joined with a typological and contextual study of this pieces and its support. This type of analysis in this place is completely a novelty.
