- Abstract
The article talks about the regulatory discourse and the architecture of people flows in the 19th century. Topics include contributions of urban planners, architects, and engineers to nascent topos of flowing and liquid crowds; metaphor of liquid crowd became an ensemble of regulatory procedures and operations in speech, drawings and projects; and architect John Nash’s plans for the Marylebone Park and Regent Street ensemble in London was a good representation of maintaining the crowd flow.
