- Abstract
The article discusses a study on an outbreak of Legionnaires' disease in southwestern Germany in 2012. The study involved a sample of patients with pneumonia. A polymerase chain reaction (PCR) was used to examine L. pneumophila serogroup 1 urinary antigen in the patients. The researchers also investigated allelic differences of 1,521 gene targets of the core genome of L. pneumophila.
