- Abstract
The study aimed to survey the epidemiological profile of patients treated at the neurology clinic of Physiotherapy, Faculty Inga in 2013. The medical records of patients attending the unit, totaling 76 records, which were collected age, gender, marital status, education, residence, occupation, comorbidities, degree of dependence, chief complaint, clinical diagnosis and physical therapy, number of attendances and absences these data were tabulated in a spreadsheet in Excel. Were issued in 1322 calls and 268 faults, which demonstrated the predominance in males, married over 60 years of age, compared to clinical diagnosis was a predominance for Stroke, physical therapy diagnosis in the question was the prevalence of hemiparesis, hipotrofismo and hypertonia, most were classified as independent, and their mobility was wheelchair. The results of this study clearly show the need to continually assess the patient files once they become rich information to carry out important studies, and these may be useful to characterize individuals who seek physiotherapy in order to trace appropriate treatment and interdisciplinary.
