Abstract
The article presents information on debates taking place in New Zealand's parliament. Member of Parliament (MP) Winston Peters is debating a case involving shares of Tranz Rail and the Securities Commission. MP Sue Bradford discussed in parliament the decision by the Mercury Energy company to turn off the electricity of Folole Muliaga, which led to her death. In July 2007 the parliament discussed transportation of prisoners after a homicide took place in a prison van.
