- Abstract
Kutadgu Bilig is the one of the marvelous works belonging to Qarahanid Dynasty and it has attracted the attention of scientists, researchers especially in Turkey, Russia, Germany, France, China, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, USA and Japan. As it is known, Kutadgu Bilig's verse and prose versions were published in various languages and it came as first-hand sources to look for those who worked on the history, culture, literature of ancient Turks and Uyghurs. Accessing information about the works carried out in each country will be very important on Kutadgu Bilig Study. It is later than other countries such as Turkey, Russia, Germany that introducing, researching on Kutadgu Bilig in China. But in China Kutadgu Bilig research has gone through more than a century of history. This book has been published in Chinese, Uyghur, Kazakh and Kyrgyz languages, especially after 1978 in China, and 40 years after the reform. Scientists have shown great interest in this subject and after Kutadgu Bilig has been officially published, researchers who have been interested in Uyghur language, literature, history have examined Kutadgu Bilig in various aspects such as language, literature, philosophy, folklore and foreign politics. Meanwhile, many doctoral and master thesis were written by graduate students and doctoral students about Kutadgu Bilig. In this article the author mainly discusses the introduction, publication, and research of Kutadgu Bilig from the beginning of the last century to the present, and brief evaluations have been made on them in China.
