- Abstract
The present essay is a preface to the book EuroAmerican Communication and the Establishment of Non-EuroAmerican-Centric Communication, which book includes papers that have been selected, edited, and translated by the author. In this preface, the author briefly introduces the overall structure of the book, and evaluates the papers as divided into four sections: 1. non-EuroAmerican-centric theories and "centrisms" as concepts of communication; 2. some cutting edge theories of EuroAmerican communication; 3. intercultural communication with global paradox as background; 4. opportunities and challenges: Chinese communication facing the world.
