- Abstract
A criticism is presented of the theatrical performance of the play "word!sound!powah!," the final installment of the Sankofa trilogy written and performed by the Canadian female playwright known as d'bi.young anitafrika. The author explores young anitafrika's construction of the theatrical form known as monodrama, her use of mythological material from African diasporic communities, and her use of storytelling and oral traditions.
