- Abstract
The article discusses about the views of the author on perspective of sociologist Émile Durkheim on suicide problem in Australia. Topics includes according to Durkheim, suicide is influenced by the culture, customs and disruptions due to external factors. The author states that the concept fits for the period during the Great Depresson but during sixties, the time was of uncertainity and great social change like Aboriginal rights, second wave feminism, and illegal drugs.
