- Abstract
The article discusses a study on misconceptions about violence risk assessment in people with mental illness. The authors address the role of mental health professionals in the management of aggression among mentally ill. Results showed the association between certain types of mental illness and violence. They advise clinicians to base their assessments on empirical knowledge and consideration of case-specific factors.
