Reprints an article from the `Journal of the American Medical Association' in January 22, 1898 on the presence of free granules in the blood and their derivation from the leucocytes, and their possible relations to immunity. The observation by H.F. Mueller of Vienna; Mueller's conclusion that these granules are normal constituents of the blood.
