- Abstract
The article titled "From Phenols to Antimicrobial Phenazines: Tyrosinase-like Catalytic Activity of a Bisguanidine Based Bis(μ-oxido) Complex" explores the conversion of 2-naphthol to a quinone intermediate using a bis(μ-oxido) complex. This intermediate then condenses with 1,2-phenylendiamine to produce benzo[a]phenazine, which acts as an antimicrobial protective shield for a contaminated lake. The phenazine helps protect the lower stream from plant diseases carried by soil bacteria flowing into the lake from a nearby crop field. The research article provides more detailed information on this topic.
